Microsoft Online Learning: Choosing and Navigating a Course

Posted August 13th, 2014 at 3:50 pm.

The instructions below are for Windows 7 PCs using Microsoft Internet Explorer. Some features may not function correctly when using other browsers (e.g. Firefox, Chrome, and Safari) or when using OS X.

1. Browse the available courses to find one you’d like to take

2. Click on the link for the desired course. (Beginner Skills in MS Excel 2010 will be selected as an example)

3. Review the course outline to ensure it meets your learning goals, then click on the Enter button to proceed. The course will open up in a new window. Resize the window as desired

4. In the upper-left corner of the window, click on the left-facing chevron to collapse the course details panel

5. Use the arrows at the bottom of the window to navigate through the course

6. When you’d like to exit the course, close the Internet Explorer window by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of the window. Your progress will be saved.
