Voicemail: Recording and Changing Primary and Conditional Greetings

Posted June 6th, 2018 at 1:03 pm.

Record a Primary greeting and one or more optional Conditional greetings.

Conditional greetings are what callers will hear when the line is busy (e.g., “I’m currently on the phone and unable to take your call”), when you’re not there (e.g., “I’m currently away from my desk”), or for extended absences (“I will be away until October 15th…”).

To Record or Change greetings:

  • Press 8 to access your user options
  • Press 4 to change your greeting(s) or enable your Extended Absence Greeting
  • Press 2 to record or change your conditional personal greeting
  • Press 7 to record or change your primary personal greeting

After you have recorded your different greetings you can press to select which greeting—Primary, Conditional, or Extended Absence—you want your callers to hear.
